Try turn off SVM if you have un-wanted noise, although i didnt have problem with it on before formatted and updated driver.

I got same situation here...but with X-FI EM with aego M and sennheiser HD595 (stereo). I use a splitter between aego M and headphone amp, is there any better way to connect them up?

Hmmm thought SACD is just multi-channel format? If i didnt remember wrong,its a 4-channels format cd. And heard that its about the same quality as XRCD in stereo format.
And I guess thats the reason for special cd player to playback SACD...

Did u clean ur 0404 too? If so, how did u clean it? Normally sound card dont break down easily...

As mentioned in da title, I am wondering what brand or series of DVD/CD rom would be the best to use for CD/XRCD or DVD/VCD playback. For that price...u can look at KEF ones la (not sure abt TW coz me living in uk). Agree with others above,try har AE and other makes. BOSE is only an overpriced brand.Dont get blinded by the popularity of majourity ppl who only has money.Never rush to buy things like these.
